Scholarly Project Jumpstart

Your scholarly project is one of the key components of your Honors College education.

It's an opportunity to create NEW knowledge and grow as an interdisciplinary thinker. 

However, we know it can also appear like a daunting task. Don't worry, we can help! That's where this event comes in.

Please join us with your questions. You will receive:
  • tips on getting started
  • examples of the wide range of pathways you can use to complete your project
  • a look at the proposal and verification process
  • information about ways to secure funding,

Serve your community, volunteer with the West Lafayette Public Library 

The West Lafayette Public Library is looking for committed, fun-loving volunteers to help out with the newest teen STEM program; Gamemakers! 

Help participants ages 13-18 go through the design process as they make their own tabletop game. Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply! Applications are due Aug. 30.

Purdue Autism Cluster seeking event planning intern 

The Purdue Autism Cluster seeks an undergraduate student for an internship that will focus on event planning and communication. This intership offers the opportunity to gain real-world experience & build your resume.

Duties will include:  
  • Management of a non-profit organization.
  • Developing, supporting and promoting PAC goals, including message development, social media content creation.
  • Creating strategies to effectively engage target audiences.
  • Ensuring digital marketing content aligns with PAC's goals.
Goals for the fall semester will focus on planning the Purdue Autism Research Conference (Oct.18 & 19) and developing PACs social media presence. 
 
Candidates should have strong communication and organizational skills, be able to work with limited supervision and on multiple projects, be creative and have strong oral and written skills.
 
PAC is proud to work in collaboration with Purdue departments to educate future leaders. Public Relations/Communication and HTM majors are encouraged to apply.

Work where you live: Cosi hiring associates for Fall 2018

The work "commute" doesn't get easier than this. Cosi is now hiring associates for Fall 2018. These positions start at $9 per hour.

Cosi is a Mediterranean style restaurant concept that is "determined to become the best restaurant company in America". Its menu includes flatbreads, soups, salads, flatbread pizza, rice bowls and s'mores served tableside. Associates receive half-price meals with every shift worked.

Cosi Student Associates will be responsible for the overall guest experience. Whether it be assembling unique sandwiches, crafting delicious salads or completing the guest experience at the register, student associates will be expected to ensure everyone is enjoying the Cosi experience. Must have a great smile and be willing to gain experience with customers. Preference given to associates who have breakfast (as early as 7am) and lunch hours (11-2) available to work through the week (M-F). If you're fun and want to work in a chill environment, APPLY HERE
