HOA Special Edition - Reserve Studies
 
I have been fortunate enough to work with many Homeowners' Associations (HOA's) over the years and have become quite informed about Reserve Studies and their usefulness in managing these communities.
 
As an HOA manager, you are already familiar with the purpose and importance of accurate Reserve Studies but for anyone reading this who doesn't know, a Reserve Study is used to identify major common area components, their replacement cost, the current serviceable life remaining of these components and how much money needs to be held back in 'reserve' to pay for those repairs when they come due.
