The Children’s Hunger Project recognized our volunteers, supporters, donors, and past and present executive directors with a special evening of gratitude! County Commissioner Bryan Lober gave TCHP a financial gift as well as a proclamation declaring December 10, 2020 and each year going forward as “The Children’s Hunger Project Day.”
“Gratitude is not just saying thank you. It’s that warm, fuzzy feeling that goes along with the appreciation that you have for those you are thanking. Our volunteers pour so much love into TCHP. It’s truly a gift to be part of such an awesome cause.” - TCHP Executive Director Cheryl Cominsky
Throughout the event, many staff members, community volunteers, church organizations, and community partners were thanked and appreciated. Brevard County’s needs have grown over the past 10 years, but knowing the support the community has provided gives TCHP renewed determination and inspiration to continue their work fighting child hunger.
Many thanks to the evening's speakers to include; Board Chair Karen Montas, TCHP Founder Bob Barnes, Sheriff Wayne Ivey, County Commission Chair Bryan Lober, School Superintendent Dr. Mark Mullins, Palm Bay Elementary Teacher Barbi Miller, Pastor Corky Calhoun and IT expert Sean Phelan.
"The Children’s Hunger Project has been guided by angels, and built by the effort and sweat of our volunteers." - TCHP Founder Bob Barnes
