HOME ENERGY SCORE
What is it – and why does it matter?

Friday, January 14 ● 12 noon – 1 pm
This special online event will feature a presentation by Marge Stevens and Michael Fahey, Energy Action Team volunteers who have been working on a strategy for homes to be evaluated and owners provided with tools to improve their home’s energy efficiency.

  • Are you a homeowner who would like to save money on your home’s energy bills?
  • Are you someone who has been thinking about selling your home?
  • Would you like your home to be the most energy efficient, climate-friendly home in your neighborhood?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, mark your calendar for this brief but informative program. Whatever your motivation, having a home energy score performed on your home is the first and easiest step toward making your home as energy efficient as possible.

In addition to explaining how home energy scores work, presenters will also discuss the opportunity to implement a Home Energy Score program for our community. In response to a recommendation by the Corvallis Climate Action Advisory Board, the City Council will be discussing adoption of a Home Energy Score program at their 1/20/22 work session.

Following the 1/14/22 presentation, audience members will have an opportunity to ask questions.
