September 23, 2025
| | The air is cooling, spirits are up, Shop Hop is approaching, passports are available, gift baskets are prepared and even if you only attend one shop hop store, you’ll be eligible for a prize (!!!), new classes are coming, fall decorations are out. What more could we ask for at this time of year? | | Click on the picture above for more information | | A new fun, quick, no-sew class is coming your way September 28, and our kits are in and ready for you to choose. It is Needle Punch, and it’s easy to learn and impossible to put down. The kits we have available are complete; they include the punch needle, yarn, hoop, fabric, snippers and notions, the pattern and video instructions if you choose to by-pass the class and work on at home. Shelby will be teaching, and you should complete the smaller kit in class, and possibly the larger kit. Class time is noon to 3:30, and again, no machine is needed. It’s an old art brought back to life and rolled up into a kit. At this time, we are limited to the kits in stock, so come in and get yours early for the best selection, although all of them are adorable. If I had a grandchild coming over for a few days over the holidays, I’d be teaching them how to make these!!! | | Click on the picture above for more information | | Remember that our BERNINA Trade-In Trade-Up event is still going on, along with the Accessory Special. Buy 2 accessories and get one free. Accessories include BERNINA/bernette presser feet, BERNINA BIG Books, and all of our Embroidery hoops, and the free item will obviously be the least expensive one, but you can make this deal totally work in your favor! Until month’s end, we are still featuring special low prices on the B 3 Series and the b 79 which includes embroidery. Deals abound! | | Click on the picture above for more information | | We are awaiting, from Grace Co., the new Hummingbird free motion quilting system and the new QMXF Automation Software system for your domestic machine when placed on the Cutie frame. I’ve been telling you about these two, and there is info. on them on our SunValleyQuilts.com website, so feel free to check them out now so you’re ready to make a decision on them when they arrive! Of course, if you are as excited about these as we are I would encourage you to preorder with just a small deposit to secure your place in our queue. And of course, we have great prices on other Grace machines, frames, accessories and such so you can start having fun quilting on a longarm. Just a truthful teaser here: we can get you into a Little Rebel machine AND a Little Cutie Breeze for under $3200!!! And you can begin longarming yourself! Some people still think that beginning to longarm your own quilts will involve a $40,000 Plus price tag, but those days are over!!! We can all get into the action for very reasonable prices and sizes! The Cutie Breeze sits on a table top, and will allow for a King size to be quilted. Maybe you didn’t know that….. | | Lynn M. is here Thursday with an Intro to Bags class, where you can pick your pattern from the many byAnnie patterns, your fabric and your zippers and accessories right here at SVQ. Check out the classroom for your perfect bag—Lynn has many, many samples from which you can choose. From small wristlettes to giant backpacks or totes! If nothing else, take the class just to learn how to sew in zippers the very easy way!!! That’s a huge take-away from a class in my mind! | | Click on the picture above for more information | | Now, on a personal note, I had to take a few days to tend to my Ditto The Wonderhorse! With all the rain we’ve gotten, although much needed, I ended up with standing water in the yard close to mine. Which led to an infusion of those nasty, tiny, biting no-see-ums which decided to attack Ditto. And me, in a few places! The bite itches intensely, lumps up, and goes away after about 4 days. I only had a few, but poor Ditto had more than she could stand! Her original Mom, Joyce, took her up to New River to get her away from the bugs, Ditto had a “Spa Day”, and now is back home with me! It took some pretty heavy sleuthing to figure out what Ditto’s problem was, but after we determined that, we could take corrective action. Plus, Joyce felt that Ditto could put on a few pounds…say, a few hundred or so…and still look good. Now, when was the last time any of us was told to put on a few hundred pounds?!?! And still look good?!?!?! | | Click on the picture above for more information | | For our special fabric of the week, at 20% off when you give us the code, look at our walls of blenders and basics. Code will be BANDB20 and pick out what you need now and what you will want for the holidays so you can get ahead of the game! Conni in the back and the girls out front are staying very busy getting new fabrics priced and out on the shelves for you. Remember that Shop Hop is coming October 10-18, so save us some of those dates. We’ll be waiting for you to hop on in! Till then, stay safe! | | Barbara and the crew waiting for you | | | | |
