This year's HOPE Award Recipients are Dr. Ken Sands, Dr. Evan Benjamin, and the teams they led at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and Baystate Health for their work in implementing the Communication and Resolution (CARe) Program. The goals of CARe are to improve communication and transparency surrounding adverse events, improve patient safety, reduce lawsuits, and proactively meet injured patients' needs.
