Dear Sea Crest Community,
We are excited about the momentum we have had with our Head of School (HOS) search thus far and wanted to provide the Sea Crest Community with a quick update on our progress.
We have had a significant amount of interest in our open Head of School position; in fact, we had over 50 applications. This response was higher than we had anticipated and our applications have come from the coastside community, across the United States and internationally. Clearly, such a high degree of interest is a testament to what a wonderful school we have here at Sea Crest and how unique this opportunity is.
The search committee reviewed the applicants and from that, we selected 23 of them to be interviewed further by our search firm, Morris & Berger. After reviewing the applications and interview feedback, the Search Committee has now selected 6 highly-qualified semi-finalist applicants to move forward with more in-depth interviews. This week, the Search Committee will conduct interviews with each semi-finalist to get a better sense of their fit for our HOS requirements and our community. Once the interviews are conducted and feedback is reviewed, we will select our finalist candidates.
Later this month, we plan to invite the finalists to visit the school, meet with staff, faculty, board members and constituents with the goal of making a final decision and announcing our selected new Head of School in mid-January to early February.
We will continue to communicate the committee’s progress over the coming weeks. As always, if you have any questions regarding the search process, please reach out to us.
