There were two economic relief programs passed by Congress and signed by the President in the past weeks that support minority businesses:
  • Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program (EIDL) – $350B loan program 
  • Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (Cares) – $2.2T Stimulus Bill

Adjusting to Remote Work During the Coronavirus
Tsedal Neeley, a professor at Harvard Business School, says that there are simple ways leaders can help their employees stay productive, focused, and psychologically healthy as they work from home during the current global global pandemic.She recommends that managers do an official remote-work launch, carefully plan and facilitate virtual meetings, and pay extra attention to workers’ behavior.

Sodexo - We are the Communities We Serve
Although Sodexo closed half of its operations, or has them on limited service, they donated perishable food items to area food banks, local shelters or to their employees. The Heath Care segment of their business is staying busy as they feed Seniors and clean and maintain their dwelling areas. Although schools are closed, Sodexo is still responsible for feeding at risk children in the community and their SodexoMagic Group maintains its commitment to feeding students within the DC Public School system.
