For years, I have curated a weekly list of art events for friends, neighbors, and family members. Doing this is solely a passion project for me -- I like to keep a list of what I really want to see. If you miss an opening at a museum or gallery, check the calendar on my website for past events and visit during the venue's regular operating hours. ~ Melissa Richardson Banks

TAKE AN ARTFUL ROAD TRIP TO SOUTH TEXAS!

Love road trips? Love art? Then plan a weekend drive from Houston to Corpus Christi (psst, that's my hometown!). There are many great places to see art along the way. I am headed down to the Art Museum of South Texas to see "Collidoscope: de la Torre Retro-Perspective" before this nationally touring exhibition closes this Saturday, September 30 (and hey, did you know that it was me -- through my firm CauseConnect -- who ORGANIZED and now MANAGES this national tour for The Cheech and the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Latino?!?!! Cool, right??!! It heads to El Paso, Texas in late October. Check out my favorite places to see art in South Texas and the Coastal Bend on my website.
