Welcome Home to Evanston - April 27th
|
|
After operating within Chicago's borders for over 35 years, HOW is excited to be expanding its reach with the opening of our first building in Evanston.
Join us on April 27th to celebrate this momentous occasion, and the organization's growing foot print and impact. The evening will include a cocktail reception, seated dinner, and inspiring program featuring the voices of those who are integral to HOW's remarkable achievements and enduring influence. You will also get a chance to take a peek at Evanston's newest museum.

Personal Hygiene Drive - #Inkindiskind
|
As an organization focused on the holistic health and development of our clients, HOW regularly gathers and distributes in kind donations throughout the year including housewares, cleaning supplies, and more.
HOW's Personal Hygiene Drive
is wrapping up in three days, and we are still in need of donations, and volunteers to help sort and package donated items. Last year, members from the Wind Rose Project, We Go High, CVS Health, Seyfarth Shaw LLP's Women's Network, and other fabulous organizations and individuals gave generously and lent a helping hand! When Jetaime began working with HOW's employment team in September 2018 her top priority was to secure a job. In the subsequent months, Jetaime worked closely with the
team to create a resume, conduct a job search, acquire professional clothing, and prepare for interviews.
As a result of her hard work and commitment, Jetaime secured a job as a research assistant at the University of Chicago and is thriving in her new role. An active member of the
HOW community, she works with her case manager to take full advantage of the organization's diverse programming and continues to be a vital contributor to many HOW programs.

Transitions of HOW's Associate Board's Executive Team
|
After over two years of service, HOW's Associate Board's Executive Team
(Carleigh Rinefierd, Adam Murad, Candice Hudson
, and
Phil Ramsbottom
) have passed the baton to a new group of spectacular leaders.
Thank you
to our former leaders who helped grow the Associate Board's membership, influence, and contributions over the years. The new Executive team brings a wealth of knowledge from diverse backgrounds, an ardent passion for HOW's mission, and a drive to make a difference in their communities. Together the team is setting high goals and using the Associate Board's collective talents and influence to support and contribute to HOW.
