January 2026

Greetings!

What does your new year hold for you...your hopes, plans, dreams...or simply a list of simple “to-dos” that you want to make happen in 2026?

I ended 2025 by making plans to work with a coach on a weekly basis in January to improve my “game” here at HOW as a leader, manager, team player, listener, and community builder. As far as my personal life, I have closets to tackle, stacks of stuff, and my ongoing need to keep making gradual adjustments and improvement in my exercise, sleep, and eating habits.

If any of this sounds familiar, I hope you will consider setting up a time to meet with a volunteer Peer Wellness Coach, who has completed a 20-hour training program to facilitate coaching conversations so you can benefit from the support of someone who is skilled at guiding a conversation to help you take a step forward in whatever area YOU choose. Starting in February our Peer Wellness Coaching program will offer free and confidential appointments to all women living on Outer Cape, so stay tuned or click the link below to get notified when we start booking appointments for the general public.

Good news! We will be moving into our renovated Provincetown center at 34 Conwell Street the week of January 26 and once we are settled we look forward to welcoming you!

Finally, when winter weather hits the Outer Cape, Helping Our Women follows the Nauset Regional School District's snow day and delay schedule. If Nauset schools are closed or delayed, our offices will be too. Stay warm, Gwynne

New support group for Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

Led by Outer Cape residents with MS for anyone with MS!

“ My name is Katherine and I am a widow living in Provincetown. I was lucky enough to be diagnosed in 1993 and lived with multiple sclerosis for decades without any real disability. I have found that becoming disabled by this disease is an isolating experience and I want to connect and share with other people living with this vexing, unpredictable and incurable condition.”

We are proud to work with HOW community members to support their interest in hosting the National MS Society gatherings at our Eastham center. This group provides a welcoming space for people living with MS to connect, share, and support each other.
