Our Clinical Consultation Series Moderator:
Kathryn M. Chun, PhD
Dr. Chun is Clinical Psychologist and an Associate Professor at the Hawaiʻi School of Professional Psychology at Chaminade University of Honolulu where she teaches assessment and psychotherapy courses, along with serving as a dissertation chair for a range of PsyD student dissertations and as a faculty mentor. She previously served as the HSPP Practicum Director and on the Chaminade University Steering Commitee. She also provides family therapy at the Family Strengthening Center at Family Programs Hawaiʻi where she previously conducted psychological evaluations referred by the Child Welfare Services. She previously held a staff psychologist position at the Kapiolani Child Protection Center, had an independent practice where she provided psychological assessment and psychotherapy services, and served as the psychological evaluator at ʻIolani School. In 2021, she was awarded the Hawaiʻi Psychological Association Outstanding Professor/Teacher of Psychology Award. She holds specific interests in diversity, equity, and inclusivity issues, family and generational issues, health, and attachment. She is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the APA Division 5, and serves as a Clinical Representative on the HPA Board of Directors.
