We expanded our services and hours! On Tuesday, June 1, 2021, eleven (11) additional Neighborhood Libraries are re-opening at a limited capacity.

You are now able to come in and use the library for up to one (1) hour at a time to browse the collection (Express Browsing), check out materials, and use library computers. Special Collections libraries are open for research. No appointments needed to come into the library! Additional locations will be added soon.

We continue to offer the following services by appointment:
  • Technology Access at TECHLink
  • Interview Rooms (at select locations)
  • HPL TO GO Curbside Service (at select locations)

Please Note: Important safety protocols have been implemented to ensure the safety of customers and staff. Express Browsing is limited to 50% capacity, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Rooms for Virtual Interviews by Appointment

You can schedule an appointment to use interview rooms at any of the participating locations by calling the library or reserving a room online.

Tuesdays - Saturdays | 10 AM - 4 PM
All three (3) Special Collections libraries are open! Walk-ins are welcome on a first-come, first-served basis.

TECHLink is a multimedia and technology center, innovative and transformative extension of the library's program of services to provide free and equitable access to new and emerging state-of-the-art technologies. Important Safety Measures
For your protection, libraries have implemented the following safety measures:

  • Temperature screening for anyone age two (2) years and up prior to entering the library.
  • Physical distancing of at least six (6) feet between customers and staff must be maintained at all times.
  • Masks are encouraged, but not required.
  • Hand sanitizing stations are available for customers to use.
  • Computer stations will be sanitized by staff after each use.
  • All items returned or handled by customers will be quarantined for 24 hours.

If you need computer assistance, you may bring one (1) person to help during your session. For the safety of customers and staff, one-on-one computer assistance is not available at this time.
