Hyde Park banner competition
Last night president Allan Hallquist announced that we are asking for submissions for the Hyde Park banner design competition! HPNA members must submit a design following the criteria below by August 10, 2019. Send questions and submissions to president@hydeparkkc.org .
Large turnout at June neighborhood meeting
After concerns regarding property tax assessments, many neighbors attended the June neighborhood meeting.

First District Jackson County Legislator Scott Burnett and Jackson County Assessor Gail Beatty were present to answer questions. Per request, we are uploading video of the meeting to our Facebook page. Please click the link below to watch the first ~30 minutes of the meeting.
June dumpster day this Saturday
No tires, hazardous waste, or chemicals. Nonmembers may dump after 10am for $10 per load, as space allows.

Hyde Park Film Festival continues Fridays in June
7:00-8:45 p.m.: Crafty activities for kids
7:30-8:15 p.m.: Live Youth Band
8:30-10:30 p.m.: The Karate Kid (1984)
The festival continues this Friday, June 21! Live music by youth performer Kate Whitefield, hooping lessons and demonstration by KC Hoop Girl , and the classic throwback movie The Karate Kid (1984), all for FREE in Hyde Park at 36th & Gillham Road. Bring a picnic and a blanket or chairs. Brought to you by the Pilgrim Center , the Pilgrim 5K Run/Walk , our partner Kansas City, MO Parks and Recreation , and all of our volunteers. The fun begins at 7:00 p.m. See you there!
