HPS Soccer Camp with Jack Hermans

This is an awesome camp offered just for HPS. There are still some spots available. We have both half day and full day options. The camp will be held August 5 – 9 and will begin at 9:00 each morning. The half day session will conclude at 12:00, while the full day session will run until 3:00. The camp will be held at the Fairfax Rec Fields located at 3921 Southern Ave. The cost of the camp is $89 for half day and $109 for full day. Hyde Park School has been selected to pass out water to race participants at the Hyde Park Blast 2019 on June 29 from 7-11 AM. Since it can get kind of crazy with so many people, we are asking a parent/guardian to stay with their child. Please email Julie Welch - juliehasychak@yahoo.com if you and your kids would like to volunteer.

Fall Socials

We're working on a dazzling lineup of social events for the fall both to start fundraising and to give parents a chance to get to know other parents and have fun!! Play Yard Update & Reminders

The main section of the play yard lawn was seeded recently. Please keep off the grass while the orange fencing is up. We also remind you that the play yard rules still apply while school is out for summer:
No pets allowed.
No bike riding, rollerblading, skateboarding, or scooters.
Stay out of mulched planting beds.
Please use trash cans and help us keep the playground clean.
Play area closes at dusk.
Thanks for your cooperation in keeping the play yard safe and clean for all children to enjoy!

Postcards NEEDED!

Are you traveling somewhere new this summer? Are you visiting a place you have never been? Tell the school about your exciting adventure at a new museum or in a new city. Let's document our experiences.

Send us a postcard from wherever you visit: be it in Paris, Kentucky or Paris, France, Gallipolis, Ohio or Gallipolis, Turkey, staycation or vacation, share something you learned about as you enjoy your summer.

Happy Hyde Park Eagle Summer Reading Program

YOUTUBE: For students in K-3rd.

Want to hear your school's principal read a story to your kids? What about having your child's specials teacher read your child a bedtime story? Or how about letting your kids become a little more familiar with their new teacher for next year by having them listen to that teacher read a book? To promote summer reading for our K-2 students this year, Happy Hyde Park School teachers will be recording videos of themselves reading books & uploading them to our Youtube channel. Parents can access the channel via the link below. You can use any device to view the videos, even your cell phones!!! This is a great opportunity for your children to connect to the school staff & have books read to them that you might not have in your home library. Come read with us!!!

What are you reading this summer? Want to share a book review with your friends & classmates? You can let your friends know what books you recommend and hear all about the books that others are reading this summer! To get started, all you have to do is go to our school's Flipgrid channel at the link below, login with your @ cincinnatips.org email account, click the big green plus sign, & record a selfie video sharing your thoughts & opinions about what you've been reading. Do you want to check one thing off the summer to-do list before school ends? Hyde Park is once again partnering with Bright SchoolKitz to provide school supply kits that are delivered directly to the school before the first day.

The school supply kits will match the teacher supply lists by grade. The kits, filled with brand names (Crayola, Elmer's, etc.) and quality products, are competitively priced with local and large retailers. In addition, Bright SchoolKitz hires developmentally-disabled adults to pack the kits, so you are helping out the community.
