Field Day Coolers and Tents!

We have a couple tents and coolers leftover from Friday's Field Day. If you loaned one out for the day, please come pick it up on the gymnasium stage by this  Tuesday, May 23rd. 


End Of Year Potluck Picnic 
Please join us in celebrating the end of the 2016-17 school year!! 

When: Thursday, May 25th from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
 
Where: Ault Park near the playgrounds on Observatory and Heekin Avenue


PTO will provide hotdogs, water, and lemonade. Each student will also receive a Kona Ice from the Kona Ice truck! 

Please bring an item as suggested for your grade, along with a blanket or lawn chairs:

Kindergarten:  Salad (pasta, potato, garden)
1st Grade:       Veggies and Dip
2nd Grade:      Paper Plates
3rd Grade:       Fruit
4th Grade:       Chips
5th Grade:       Plasticware (forks/spoons)
6th Grade:       Dessert
Socials
Our last social event offered this school year! Chisel and chat with fellow HPS parents! Enjoy a fun strength and stretch class followed by a wine reception.

We are beginning to plan our social event calendar for the 2017-18 school year! 

Would you like to host a grade level social next year? Gather a couple HPS parent friends, pick a date and theme, and  fill out the planning form . The Socials team will set up the Eventbrite, promote your party, and sell the tickets so you can focus on the fun part!

Restaurant  Night Roundup

Every school year the PTO fills the calendar with a variety of “Restaurant Nights” to build community and raise funds for the school. Before our feet hit the street seeking restaurants to participate, we thought we’d offer up the opportunity to any of our Hyde Park School parents first. We are fortunate enough to have many HPS parents who own/manage restaurants, many of which have participated in these events in the past.

We’ll begin assembling the calendar for the 2017-18 school year soon, so please reach out if you are interested in hosting a Restaurant Night. Please contact Beth McPeek ( beth1abell@aol.com) for details.
Bright School Kitz

Hyde Park School teacher approved 2017-18 supply kits are available for sale through Bright School Kitz. Save time during the back-to-school rush and pre-order your child's supplies now! Lists have been generated by our teachers and provided to Bright School Kitz.

Our BSK Coordinator has worked hard to get the lowest prices, passing on the value to our parents. This is a service PTO is proud to present to our HPS community.

Hyde Park Soccer – Fall Sign Ups

  • Passers (U8), Wings (U10), Strikers (U12)

  • U6 program available – 1 hr practice and no games

  • Registration fee is $50 ($30 for U6)

  • Uniforms are required for U8, U10, U12 and are $40

  • Jerseys are optional for U6 and are $10

  • Scholarships available for families in need (includes registration only)

2 017-18 Basketball Coordinator Needed

We Can't Do It Without You!

The Hyde Park School Athletics Department needs a volunteer to fill the open Basketball Coordinator position for the 2017-18 school year. You will be trained on how to accomplish the responsibilities of the role and will have full support from the Athletic Director.

 This position is perfect for a parent who wants to get involved but isn’t keen on being a coach. It’s work that can be done from a desk or in the evenings when schedules allow. Our basketball program already has pre-stablished systems in place, all we need is you!!
