HPS Spring Sport Registration
Spring is here! Well, at least Spring Sports Registration. Registration for running club, soccer, volleyball and baseball/softball will open on
Saturday January 18
th
at 9:00 AM
. We highly encourage those interested in participating to register early to avoid any potential wait list situations. As always, we will try to accommodate everyone, but in some cases team sizes and league rules make that challenging. Please be flexible as we work through the process. In general, here are some guidelines to follow. For specific questions please email Mike Brugh,
hps.athletics@outlook.com
Running Club:
K-2 will practice in the evenings at Wasson Way. Grades 3-6 will continue to practice after school until 3:30, very likely on Tuesday and Thursday
Volleyball:
There will be a 3rd/4th girls division and a 5th/6th grade division. Based on lessons learned in our first two seasons, team sizes will be slightly smaller and there may be multiple teams in each division
Soccer:
Instructional division (no games) will be available for Kindergartners. 1st-6th grade will compete in the SAY East league. We are tentatively aiming to have practices on Monday/Wednesday nights. Field availability and coach preference will be the determining factor
Baseball/Softball:
Depending on registration numbers, there may be a need to combine some divisions There may also be a chance to partner with Kilgour to form a girls softball team for the first time. Again, please be flexible and patient as we determine registration numbers and the best path forward.
**Remember that being an Athletics Booster helps provide amazing sports opportunities for all of our students- please consider being an Athletics Booster Member today**
