We Need You Next Year !
The 2017-18 school year is coming to an end, which means PTO is busy prepping for next year already!

** Most immediate need is for a Spirit Wear Coordinator. This role will be mentored by our current Spirit Wear Coordinator who has been in the position for the past couple years**

We have a new webpage that allows all our supporters to take a look at the types of roles and committees that we need people like you to fill every year. There's something for everyone. Click on the pic to see how you can help lead our school to success. If something sparks your interest please submit your name and someone from our team will reach out to you. Submitting your name doesn't means you automatically sign up, it just means we'll provide you with additional info.

As the end of the school year approaches, please start looking for any HPS library books around your home. They will have a white sticker on the spine that says 'Hyde Park School Library' and can be returned to the bin in the library at any time. Tomorrow (Monday, 5/21) is the LAST DAY to retrieve something from the Lost and Found! Everything is being donated on Tuesday!

Has it been awhile since you last saw your child’s jacket? Have you been wondering where that book could have ended up? The HPS lost-and-found is once again bursting at the seams. We have hundreds of items waiting to be reunited with their owners. When you are visiting HPS for spring concerts, assemblies, volunteering, or any other time you are at the school, please check out the 4 tables set up near the school gym, all full of items. Or, for your convenience, browse through these pictures of the items online.

This link will bring you to an album of shirts, vests, and jackets:

This link will bring you to an album of everything else—gloves, hats, socks, sashes, books, water bottles, lunch boxes, a pair of pants, and so much more! Check it out for yourself:

Please note: all lunch boxes and water bottles pictured are on display in the school cafeteria, not on the tables by the gym.
SOCCER CAMP!
HPS will once again have an exclusive soccer camp for our students. Currently, there are 14 players signed up.   Register now before the camp fills up!    This camp is a great way to improve your child's skills, have them meet and connect with classmates, and improve the HPS Soccer program as a whole. The camp will take place August 6-10, and you can choose from full-day or half-day sessions (from 9 AM-12 PM or 9 AM-3 PM).

Jack Hermans (who runs the camp) is a former professional player in Holland and the former Head Coach of the Xavier University men's soccer team. Jack currently trains many club teams and was the Assistant Coach for the Dutch Lions Professional team. The Soccer Unlimited camps offer a wonderful camp covering all aspects of soccer - all taught 'The Dutch Way'.......flair, technique and confidence on the ball. Jack is great, and kids love him!

Please join HPS students and families for a great soccer experience. You can register now by going to  http://sports.bluesombrero.com/hydeparkschool . Hope to see you there!
