2020 HPS Read-a-Thon Begins Tomorrow!
The 2020 Read-A-Thon is finally here! Starting TOMORROW October 19th and running through November 6, students are asked to support their Read-A-Thon teams by grabbing their favorite books and reading! Please check your email for the Read-A-Thon packet sent home this past Friday with all the necessary information and logs.

New this year, we have a weekly Joseph-Beth prize raffle! To enter, have your student take a picture with themselves and what they are currently reading that week and add it to the HPS PTO Padlet page by each Thursday. Every Friday, a winner will be chosen at random and announced along with that week's bucket tickets winners.

Thank you for all your support with this important fundraiser for Hyde Park School, and LET'S START READING!

This is Hyde Park School's second largest fundraiser, and we are happy to keep this slice of positivity and normalcy in the 2020 school year. All funds raised will help offset the recent costs expended to provide COVID safety equipment including the table dividers and picnic tables.

We strive for 100% participation by every child logging reading time. Pledges and fundraising are not required to participate, and any funds raised are designated to the student's homeroom total and never reveal the individual student's name. The amount of money a student raises is never revealed in order to keep reading the students' primary focus rather than money.
Basketball on the Horizon, Seeking Gym Space
The Basketball Season is on the horizon with hundreds of Hyde Park Students slated to participate. Due to COVID restrictions, practice locations are changing from previous years. If you have a connection for gym space, please contact Mike Brugh at 513.403.0734 or michaelbrugh@outlook.com.

Thank You for the Hand-Crafted COVID Table Dividers!
Thank you to the HPS dads who generously volunteered their time and expertise to build the table dividers being used in the classrooms to facilitate COVID-safe group learning. Your quick response to our call to action is a testament to the unity and family-driven spirit that prides the HPS Community. We are so indebted to you! You are amazing!
Join the Hyde Park Athletics Boosters and get your very own, highly-coveted, blue foam finger! Then, there's more! With foam finger in hand, remove the foam finger from your hand every Friday and place it in a window of your house for Foam Finger Friday. Every Friday, neighborhood drive-throughs will take place noting addresses where Hyde Park Athletic Foam Fingers have been spotted. All those addresses will be eligible for a weekly prize drawing.

By becoming a Booster Club member, you are directly contributing to the support and growth of the HPS athletic programs. Hyde Park Athletics are privately funded, and your annual membership will be used to reduce the overall registration cost of these programs, fund new programs not currently available, and ensure that our student athletes have the appropriate equipment and facilities to compete effectively.

Please visit the Hyde Park Athletics website for more information or contact Mike Brugh at michaelbrugh@outlook.com with any questions.
