Hot Topic Discussion - Coping with Test Anxiety
The new date is May 1  @ 6:00 pm in the gym.

Does your child get worried about standardized testing?
Would you like to support your child through the testing process in April?
Our mental health partner agency, The Children’s Home of Cincinnati, will be providing an hour-long workshop for parents on the topic of test anxiety. The hour will be interactive, and participants will learn about the symptoms of test anxiety and how to empower yourself and your child to overcome this stress.
It will be led by Alison Savage, LPCC-S, who specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents.  She has been with The Children’s Home for over 7 years and is currently the Clinical and Professional Development Supervisor.
Please join us on May 1 from 6:00-7:00 in our school gym.
Volunteer Opportunities
We need volunteers to fill all the PTO Board positions for the 2018-19 school year!

In order for the PTO to exist and to evolve, it requires new parents every year who want to engage and effect change. There are absolutely no requirements to volunteer in a position and you will be mentored by the person currently serving in that role. Every parent on our current board was a first-time volunteer who juggles work, kids, life and service to our school. So this is your opportunity! We welcome all candidates to come forward and join the team!

Click here to access the list of open positions!

If you have an interest in one of the positions, please send an email to  president@hpspto.com  by April 28th. All candidates will be announced April 30th.

Volunteers Needed on Saturday, April 14 from 12-2pm at Crayons to Computers!

We are seeking volunteers to help as a group for a fun two hours at Crayons to Computers to earn free shopping trips for our teachers. By volunteering on April 14 from 12 - 2PM in their warehouse (stocking shelves, etc.), HPS teachers will then receive a certificate to be used in their supplies store!   Through this Teacher Free Store and Mobile Outreach Program, this non-profit has distributed more than $145 million worth of school supplies to needy schools in Cincinnati.  The Crayons to Computers warehouse is located at: 1350 Tennessee Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45229.
