Classroom Coordinators
Thank you to all those who have volunteered to be a Classroom Coordinator! This role is really important in helping our classrooms experience the extras that make Hyde Park School so much fun. Main responsibilities include: Aid the teacher with communications out to parents, organize class parties, collect funds if a classroom group gift is purchased, and collect raffle basket donations for Spring Celebration in May.
Below is the list of classes that still need Classroom Coordinators. We'd like two volunteers per classroom to share the responsibilities (If you have already volunteered and see your teacher's name on the list we are still searching for another volunteer).

HPS Math Club (4th-6th Graders) Needs You
We are still looking for a parent volunteer. Do you and/or your child love math, solving problems, finding creative solutions and working on a team? If yes, then we'd love you to consider being the parent leader of Math Club. It runs Oct - March leveraging
MOEMS
and

materials that are prepared for you. Our previous parent leader has a son who graduated from HPS last year. She has everything organized for someone to easily take it
over. Last year was the first year, so we'd like to keep the momentum going!
The team can meet any day that works for you after school. If interested,

Library Volunteers
Did you know that the HPS library is staffed by parent volunteers before school starts every morning? Our library, located on the first floor, is completely parent-run. It is open to all children during the morning drop-off period. Our greatest need is for parent volunteers who can help children check out books during that window. To volunteer, you should be able to commit to being there one morning a week from about 7:20 to 8:00am. It helps if you like both children and books, but you don't need to have any special background - we use a simple computerized checkout system and will train volunteers. If you're not able to commit to a morning shift, we can still sometimes use volunteers who have daytime flexibility for special projects like adding new books to the collection and doing inventory. If you're interested in becoming a library volunteer, please contact Maggie Mucha at
