Parent Technical Support Line
CPS has created a Parent Technical Support Center to help families troubleshoot issues with CPS devices, connectivity, and software during remote learning. The move is in response to feedback received from families during our Parent Town Hall meetings.

Families can call 513-363-0688 or email fts@cps-k12.org from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, to:
  • Reset passwords for Google, Schoology, and Powerschool;
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues;
  • Log-in to the computer or iPad;
  • Repair a CPS device that has been damaged or is not working;
  • Troubleshoot access to Google Meet, Google Calendar, Gmail, and other standard software.
Fall Spirit Wear Sale: Now through THIS FRIDAY!
The Fall Spirit Wear sale ends this Friday, September 11! Check out the wide selection of Under Armour and other top quality merch!
Though you can order all year long, HPS PTO will receive a portion of all sales placed during this window, so now is the time to order for the win-win! All orders have the option of being delivered to your front porch the week of 9/23 for no additional fee. Sales outside of this window can be shipped for an additional fee or picked up at Koch Sporting Goods.

Place your order at Koch Sporting Goods website. Please contact spirit wear coordinator Leah Wyrabkiewicz with any questions.
Jason's Deli Night: THIS THURSDAY, September 10!
Please join us for our first restaurant night of the year, this Thursday September 10 from 10 am to 9 pm at Jason's Deli, 3831 Edwards Rd. Mention our fundraiser at the register and Jason's Deli will donate 15% of your total bill to the HPS PTO.
Tuesday & Wednesday (Sept. 8-9): Materials Pickup for 3rd Grade & 6th Grade Math Books
Tuesday and Wednesday, September 8 and 9, HPS staff will be manning a table for distribution of extra materials from 7:30 am until 9 am.  Included in this pickup are:
  • Math and Reading materials for all 3rd Graders.
  • Math books for students who need a 6th grade level math book. Students in this category will be notified by their teachers about pick up.
Room Parents Needed!
Three Classrooms are still in search of a Room Parent, and a handful of additional classrooms are seeking a second Room Parent. The following classrooms do not have a Room Parent:
  • Gallup's 4th Grade Classroom
  • Bidlingmeyer's 5th Grade Classroom
  • Ries' 6th Grade Classroom
Our HPS Room Parents provide a channel of communication between parents and teachers, which can be especially crucial in these times of remote learning. But even more, these parents are a part of the classroom environment in the following areas: Organizing class parties (hopefully!), acting as the room basket lead for Spring Celebration, aiding in teacher celebration, and assisting in any teacher special requests.
Sign up to volunteer here! If you have questions about how to serve as a Room Parent, please contact volunteer@hydeparkschoolpto.org.
HPS Athletics Update
Hyde Park Community Sports are back!
  • SAY East Soccer: Teams competing in SAY East will begin practice this week with first games starting Saturday September 12. If you previously registered and haven't been contacted by a coach, please contact Mike Brugh ASAP so that your child can be included on a team. (michaelbrugh@outlook.com)
  • Lollipops: The Lollipops (Kindergarten) soccer program is in the final stages of organization. Expect to hear from a coach this week regarding practice.
  • Running Club: More details are coming soon!
  • Volleyball: Unfortunately, after much effort and careful consideration of factors beyond control, volleyball is suspended this season. Apologies to everyone excited to get back on the court, but keep practicing because Spring will come, and we're planning for a great comeback!
Overall, it's going to be a unique season for all programs, and extra parent support is definitely needed. So don't be shy to volunteer! Let's be patient, understanding, positive, and remember that we're all in this for the kids. Go Eagles!!
