HPS Read-A-Thon

We are in the FINAL STRETCH of this year's Read-A-Thon. We hope everyone has been collecting their pledges and logging their minutes!

Tuesday, Oct 22nd : Last day to log reading minutes

Wednesday, Oct 23rd and Thursday, Oct 24th:  Turn in team folders in the gym from 7:30 am to 7:45 am . Regardless of minutes read or pledges collected,  please, please, please  have your child return their folders as we recycle and re-use these every year if we can. This year, as a bonus, students will be receiving Pumpkin Chuck tickets simply for turning in their folders. Also, please note that for your child's minutes to count, their minutes log sheet must be signed by a parent or guardian.

Nov 1st:  Winners announced

Thank you to all who have been reading and  GOOD LUCK! More Read-A-Thon information can be found here .
HPS Joseph-Beth Book Fair

Thank you to everyone who has helped make this year's Book Fair so successful! We couldn't have done it without you!
The Great HPS Pumpkin is almost here! This is HUGE event and we need everyone's help to make it a SMASHING success. Last year, this event raised almost $6,000... come help us double that! The sky will turn orange on Saturday, Nov 2nd from 10am to 2pm

The Pumpkin Chuck Countdown page will continue to be updated with all of the latest and greatest, including how much longer you have to wait for the greatest day of the year... down to the SECOND! You can also sign up to volunteer, scroll through the sneak peek of raffle items, AND pre-order your raffle, game, and chuck tickets here !

We still have LOTS of slots available for volunteers and we need all hands on deck. The volunteer shifts are just one hour long, so you'll still have plenty of time to enjoy the festivities! Kids are welcome to sign up for a game booth slot with a parent; face painting slots are open to 4th-6th graders. Check out the volunteer sign ups  here .
Thanks to everyone who ordered their limited edition Pumpkin Chuck shirts! You will look smashing at the Chuck (and all season long!) Orders will be delivered to your child's homeroom by October 28th.

Eagle of the Week-

Congratulations Mika Albrecht, you are our Eagle of the week! You would never guess I that it is Mika's first year playing volleyball. She is incredibly skilled and has an awareness of the court unmatched by many other children in the league. Even though volleyball seems to comes naturally for her, she always tries her best at practices and encourages her teammates to work harder. She is the first to give her teammates a high five, and always has a huge smile on her face when playing. Mika is a consistent server and passer, and plays a critical role on the court. She exhibited her skills this weekend when she made several clutch plays during our double header! She is an extraordinary Eagle! Thanks Mika.

Simply email  hps.athletics@outlook.com  by Thursday afternoon with your Eagle of the Week submissions.

HPS Spreads Love

During the 2019/2020 school year, Hyde Park School will be partnering with local charity, Hyde Park Bethlehem Community Outreach, to spread love to the HPS and Cincinnati communities. HPBCO will be providing HPS with support by offering assistance with Thanksgiving meal baskets, holiday Wish Tree, access to their food pantry, as well as many other exciting ways throughout the school year. Over the course of the school year, we will have an opportunity to give back, in very specific ways to their charity. Be on the lookout for information about upcoming events to spread love to our Cincinnati community.

First event: HPS Fall Clothing Drive (October 14th-30th)
