General Announcements
Announcing our New Principal: Jill Sunderman!

After months of work, the Hyde Park School LSDMC recommended to the Cincinnati Public Schools Board of Education that Jill Sunderman be hired as the Principal of Hyde Park School, and the Board has confirmed their decision!

Jason Wilcoxon, the Chair of the Hyde Park School LSDMC, announced, "the LSDMC unanimously voted to affirm that Mrs. Sunderman continue to lead our school.  Jill’s passion and commitment to our school and students, her ability to work collaboratively and earn support from across our school community made her the clear choice to lead Hyde Park School.   It is encouraging and exciting to know that we already had the best fit for HPS at the helm.    We are “HAPPY” about the future of HPS for our staff, students, and communities we serve, and for Mrs. Sunderman as Hyde Park School’s next phase begins."
April 4th @ 8:00 am- Student Presentations Playground Instrument Elective - PTO Meeting to follow.

Students invite you to attend their showcase of instruments developed during the Playground Instrument elective with Mrs. Hughes and Mr. Messerly. They will present their ideas and dazzle you with the prototypes they built with their own tiny hands!!

Please sho w your support and join for this inspiring morning.
Following the student presentations, PTO will host the last meeting of the year before elections for the 2018-19 school year. An email will be sent next week with details on the positions that require volunteers. We strongly encourage everyone to consider taking on a role so that we can continue providing the same level of service to Hyde Park School year after year. Without new volunteers it's just not possible! No experience is necessary and all positions will have full support of the person who is currently in the role. So please, share your time and talents with the Hyde Park School community!!

We are seeking volunteers to help as a group for a fun two hours at Crayons to Computers to earn free shopping trips for our teachers. By volunteering on April 14 from 12 - 2PM in their warehouse (stocking shelves, etc.), HPS teachers will then receive a certificate to be used in their supplies store!   Through this Teacher Free Store and Mobile Outreach Program, this non-profit has distributed more than $145 million worth of school supplies to needy schools in Cincinnati.  The Crayons to Computers warehouse is located at: 1350 Tennessee Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45229.
