HPS Restaurant Night will take place at Chipotle on Paxton Ave. THIS Tuesday April 13 from 4-8 pm. Chipotle will donate 33% of all proceeds to the HPS PTO so join us for this crowd-favorite restaurant night!
The Deadline to Register for the HPS Summer Scholars Program is This Friday, April 16
Due to the unusual nature of the 2020-21 school year, the CPS District is making summer school available to everyone this year. The HPS Staff would like to invite your child to join our Hyde Park School Summer Scholars ProgramThe program will run from June 2nd-June 30th (Monday-Friday) from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM. We are excited to be able to offer a morning full of engaging activities that promote learning and discovery in multiple subjects. Our staff is busy planning days of fun and knowledge for your children. We look forward to having them with us!
The daily schedule for the program would be as follows:
8:00-8:20 AM    Arrival 
8:20-11:00 AM   Enrichment & Work Time 
11:00-11:30 AM   Social Emotional Learning
11:30-11:50 AM   Lunch
11:50-12:00 PM   Dismissal

Girls In STEM Workshop at HPS: April 22 from 2:30-4pm (5th & 6th Grade Girls)
As part of the Greater Cincinnati STEM Collaborative's Girls in STEM outreach program, Mrs. Hughes will be hosting a STEM workshop for 5th and 6th Grade girls. This workshop will take place after school on Thursday, April 22nd from 2:30-4:00 at HPS on the 3rd floor. This outreach program aims to help level the playing field for girls in STEM by offering enriching experiences for girls that promote a love for all things STEM. Girls who register will receive a swag bag full of materials needed for the activities and some extra goodies. The hands-on activities will be led by women mentors from UC, P&G, & GE. They will join the workshop via Google Meets, lead the girls in the experiments, and hold a Q&A session for girls to ask questions about their career paths and their experience as a woman in the STEM field today. HPS Athletics: Opening Weekend Excitement with Special Battles for Bragging Rights!
This weekend boasted of big season openers for all grades in soccer, baseball, and flag football with some especially noteworthy face-offs:
  • The two Boys U12 Soccer teams battle each other for bragging rights today at 1:00 pm at Sacred Heart (Coach Menz v. Coach Beattie);
  • Two of our Boys U10 Soccer teams matched up Saturday morning at Salway Park (Team Welch v. Team McKee). You can view the video of this Match of the Week here at our Channel 10 archives. This game was broadcast live yesterday by our 5th & 6th Grade Channel 10 Crew!
  • One of our U7 Boys Soccer teams faces rival Kilgour today at 2:15 pm at Otto Armleder Park;
  • The 2nd Grade Boys kick off our first-ever Flag Football season tonight at 5:40 pm at the Robert J. Schuler Sports Complex in Sycamore;
  • Finally, primetime football tonight at 8:10 pm, our two 6th Grade Flag Football teams go head to head at the Robert J. Schuler Sports Complex.
To all our student athletes and crew members, way to make us proud this weekend! Go Eagles!

CPS Launches Possip Surveys Asking for Parent Feedback

Future Enrollment Survey
We are collecting data for future Kindergarten enrollment at Hyde Park School. Please fill out this Google form if you are planning to send your child/children to HPS in the coming years. This includes families who already have children enrolled but will have additional siblings entering the school soon. Please help us spread the word!
Join the Hyde Park Athletics Boosters and get your very own, highly-coveted, blue foam finger! Then, there's more! With foam finger in hand, remove the foam finger from your hand every Friday and place it in a window of your house for Foam Finger Friday. Every Friday, neighborhood drive-throughs will take place noting addresses where Hyde Park Athletic Foam Fingers have been spotted. All those addresses will be eligible for a weekly prize drawing.

By becoming a Booster Club member, you are directly contributing to the support and growth of the HPS athletic programs. Hyde Park Athletics are privately funded, and your annual membership will be used to reduce the overall registration cost of these programs, fund new programs not currently available, and ensure that our student athletes have the appropriate equipment and facilities to compete effectively.
