Lafaele Lafaele, Maintenance Specialist I/Expeditor
Lafaele was born and raised in Fagatogo, American Samoa and is a member of the Catholic Church. He is also the oldest of seven. Soccer was his sport growing up as well as basketball. He graduated from high school and took classes at the American Samoa Community College. He has a 10 year old daughter, Kalala, with his love, Mata (our Registrar). He has lived in San Diego and Utah for a short time and his family was in Hawaii before they moved to Barrow. He loves to watch basketball and football and is a LA Laker, SD Charger, and SD Padres fan all day, every day. He loves his culture, has always been involved in it, and he respects all other cultures as well. He is very happy to be a part of the Iḷisaġvik College family and enjoys meeting new people and assisting others whenever he can.
You can find him around campus ready with a fist bump.

Kalisi Muti, Administrative Assistant to Financial Aid
Kalisi was born in Tonga and moved here to America in 2012. She just graduated from Barrow High School this past May and is currently taking classes here at Ilisagvik College. She spends a lot of her spare time with family and friends. Kalisi loves to draw, paint, and listen to music especially worship and Polynesian songs.

COVID-19 vaccine walk-ins or appointments are available, please call SSMH Appointment Line at (907) 852-9380. The vaccine has no out-of-pocket costs. SSMH staff are also offering the vaccine in the village clinics. Questions? Please email covidvaccine@arcticslope.org.
