We all have an inner voice. When we talk to ourselves, we often hope to tap into our inner coach, but find our inner critic instead.

Join the Office of Employee Assistance (OEA) for their new summer workshop, Minding Your Inner Voice – How to Effectively Manage Your Inner Dialogue & Feel Freer to explore the silent conversations we have with ourselves. Participants will also look at existing research that helps explain how these conversations shape our lives, work, and relationships.

Lastly, we will explore different tools at our disposal to make our inner voice work in our favor. Just imagine having the power to change the most important conversation we have each day - the one we have with ourselves.

The FIU Embrace Education program is recruiting faculty and staff who are interested in becoming student mentors.

This program is a non-degree, inclusive postsecondary transition program for students with Intellectual Disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The primary goal of the program is to offer a comprehensive and integrated university-based education that is inclusive, accessible, and promotes competitive integrated employment and independent living.

Eligibility Criteria:

Bachelor’s degree
Full-time faculty or staff
Available to meet with student(s) one hour per week
