Did you know that whatever goes down a storm drain doesn’t get treated before flowing into our canals and waterways? That means oil, litter, and even soap from washing your car can pollute the environment.
As part of our sustainability efforts, Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) is on a mission to keep our campus waters clean, but we need the effort of our entire community. We encourage faculty, staff, and students to help prevent contaminants from making their way into our waterways by reporting spills and using eco-friendly products. These simple actions can make a huge difference. Let’s help keep our Panther community clean and green, a little effort goes a long way!
EH&S is ready for the next Safety Shout Out. Do you know someone that actively promotes safe practices and behavior to ensure a safe work and learning environment? Recognize them with an EH&S Shout Out!
Always remember that anyone can be a champion for safety. Protect your fellow Panthers by reporting safety concerns or near misses to EH&S.
Be sure to keep an eye out for upcoming newsletters and events. Do you have a topic you would like EH&S to feature? Submit a topic today!
Questions? Contact Environmental Health & Safety at (305) 348-2621.
