Help EH&S Raise Pollution Awareness!

Join the Department of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) in raising awareness about stormwater pollution by participating in the Stormwater Drain Labeling Event!

Storm drains on campus flow directly into our community water bodies without any treatment! That means anything dumped or washed into these drains, like litter, oils, and chemicals, can harm wildlife and water quality.

Register to take part in one of the sessions on Wednesday, September 24, where participants will help label storm drains around campus to promote responsible environmental practices:

  • Session 1: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Session 2: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Can't make the event? You can still support awareness efforts by reporting blocked drains or spills and placing your trash in the proper receptacles. Remember, a clean campus means clean drains and a clean environment!

Questions? Contact Environmental Health & Safety at (305) 348-2621.
