Parent Support Group -

Fall Registration is Open

Discover the Parents Growing Together Support Group, hosted by the Office of Employee Assistance (OEA), and join a welcoming space for Panther parents to connect, share, and grow.

Held every second Friday of the month at noon, these gatherings help with:

Emotional Support and Advice: Connect with others who understand your challenges and offer fresh perspectives.
Mental Health: Reduce stress and anxiety through shared experiences.
Skill Building: Enhance your parenting skills with new insights.
Resources: Access valuable tools and local services.

This support group will also help you build a network of understanding colleagues among fellow FIU parents.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the EH&S National Safety Month Celebration! We hope you enjoyed connecting with our safety professionals and picked up some helpful tips for staying safe this summer.

As we move into the rainy season, we’d like to remind everyone of the important role we all play in preventing campus flooding. Clogged storm drains, often caused by improperly discarded trash, can quickly lead to hazardous conditions during heavy rain.

Let’s work together to keep our storm drains clear:

Always dispose of trash properly
Pick up litter when you see it
Report any flooding or blocked storm drains on campus right away

Your awareness and actions will help make a difference in keeping our storm drains clean!
