COVID-19 Employer
Questions and Concerns
HR Advantage has been fielding inquiries from local employers, many of whom still have questions surrounding return to work, employer implemented testing, exposures and active cases, and general compliance with the Families First Coronavirus Response Act and other employment laws. The most recent and common questions we have received from employers are listed below, but we would like to hear from you. Will you take this brief survey to help us address the business community's highest level of need pertaining to COVID-19?
1. Can an employer provide COVID-19 testing kits? 2. Can an employer require "fitness for duty" certifications before employees return to work? 3. Can an employer require temperature checks and Personal Protective Equipment? 4. An employee discloses to her employer that she may have been exposed to COVID-19 due to attending a gathering where others have now tested positive. What should the employer do? 5. A family member within the same household as an employee tests positive for COVID-19. What should the employer do?
If you wish to speak with us directly about your questions, please contact us! 877-894-0202 ext. 5

Leading Your Remote Team
Away from Burnout
Before COVID-19, remote workers tended to experience less burnout than employees with traditional work arrangements because of the work and life advantages to working from home. But with a new, large force of remote employees -- and many managers who are new to managing remote workers -- preventing burnout presents new challenges for companies.
Here are some of the most common sources of burnout in today's remote work world:
- Employees not knowing or understanding employer expectations and new accountability practices.
- Employees feeling untrusted, unseen, or unheard.
- Employees not being able to separate work and life.
- Employees feeling detached from their team and organizational culture.
- Employees feeling isolated and lonely.
- Employees not knowing how to create boundaries with colleagues.
The more aware employers are of the causes of burnout, the better they can adapt practices in coaching, managing, and leading employees to avoid it. Read more from Gallup.
