EEO-1 Report Filing Deadline March 31, 2019: How to Comply so You Don't Get Fined
Alert: Filing the Employer Information Report (EEO-1) is mandatory for employers with 100 or more employees and for federal contractors with 50 or more employees, and the filing deadlines for 2018 is coming up fast on March 31, 2019.

Meeting EEO-1 report filing obligations often creates a host of HR--and we've got answers, including what is meant on the EEOC's website where it states that for the 2018 EEO-1, the EEOC "will continue to collect race, ethnicity and gender data by job category."

Use this on-demand webinar  when Attorney Nita Beecher of Fortney & Scott, LLC will update you on what's changed and what's the same so you're well prepared to accurately file the necessary information for the annual EEO-1 survey.

Missouri Minimum Wage Increases to $8.60/Hour Effective -  January 1, 2019

The Missouri Department of Labor announces the state minimum wage rate for 2019 has been established, according to state law, at $8.60, effective January 1, 2019.

All private businesses are required to pay at minimum, the $8.60 hourly rate, except retail and service businesses whose annual gross sales are less than $500,000. Pursuant to Proposition B, which was approved by Missouri votes November 6, 2018, the minimum wage will increase 85 cents per hour each year though 2023. Missouri law does not apply to public employers, nor does it allow the state's minimum wage rate to be lower than the federal minimum wage rate.

Compensation for tipped employees must also total at least $8.60 per hour. Employers are required to pay tipped employees at least 50 percent of the minimum wage, plus any amount necessary to bring the employee's total compensation to a minimum of $8.60 per hour. For more information, visit the Missouri Department of Labor website.

We are excited to share our newest service for 2019! In keeping a pulse on the area job market, and listening to employers certainly empathize with the current candidate shortage. Considering the time and cost involved in the job posting, selection, and placement process HR Advantage has an alternative solution.

We have created a One Stop Shop where employers may visit our website and search for ACTIVE CANDIDATES who have been thoroughly screened and processed to meet an employer's high standards. Visit our active candidates page here.

Additionally, candidates may contact HR Advantage to inquire about being featured  so that their credentials maybe reviewed while protecting their anonymity. This service will remain complimentary to candidates.

For a short time we will be offering this service to employers at a discounted rate in celebration of entering our 14th year of service!
