Missouri Minimum Wage to
Increase for 2022
Missouri minimum wage will continue to go up .85 cents each year until 2023. The new minimum wage will go from $10.30 in 2021 to $11.15 in 2022. Exemption is provided to retail or service businesses with annual gross sales less than $500,000.

CDC Updates Recommended Isolation and Quarantine Period 

CDC shortened the recommended isolation time from 10 days for people with COVID-19 to 5 days, if asymptomatic, followed by 5 days of wearing a mask when around others. The change is motivated by science demonstrating that the majority of SARS-CoV-2 transmission occurs early in the course of illness, generally in the 1-2 days prior to onset of symptoms and the 2-3 days after. Therefore, people who test positive should isolate for 5 days and, if asymptomatic at that time, they may leave isolation if they can continue to mask for 5 days to minimize the risk of infecting others.

OSHA 300A Postings
Feb. 1- April 30

Employers that are covered by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA's) record-keeping rule must post a summary (Form 300A) of 2021 work-related injury and illnesses in a noticeable place from Feb. 1 to April 30.

Employers who have 10-19 employees throughout the course of the year are only required to maintain and retain an internal report (OSHA 300 and 301) and not required to submit to OSHA.

If your company’s headcount for the year being reported was more than 20 then OSHA e-file is required and must be submitted by MARCH 2nd of each year.

W2 Filing Deadline: January 31st

January 31st is the deadline to file W-2s with the IRS and SSA using Business Services Online or to submit paper Form W-2. Verify current address and contact information for current and former employees so that W2s are mailed to the correct location.
