Chairman's Message
In 2022 and 2023, we were incredibly fortunate to have Ryan Tanaka serve as our chairman, and we express our deepest appreciation for his unwavering dedication and numerous achievements. Ryan's leadership played a pivotal role in establishing a remarkable team within the Hawaii Restaurant Association (HRA), known for its exceptional efficiency and effectiveness. Under his guidance, many struggling restaurants were able to overcome the hardships imposed by the pandemic and find their path to recovery.
As we embark on a new chapter in 2023, I am thrilled to outline my vision for the HRA. One of my primary goals is to strengthen the bond among our members by introducing engaging activities such as the Hall of Fame. This prestigious event, scheduled for September 18, 2023, will serve as a platform to honor industry experts, providing them with an opportunity to share their remarkable success stories and insightful visions. Additionally, we encourage all our members to actively participate, donate, and volunteer in support of the Hall of Fame initiative.
I would also like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Y Hata, HMAA, and our other Allied members for their invaluable support. Their unwavering belief in the HRA's mission has made them exceptional partners, recognizing our organization as an effective avenue to connect with members and carry out benevolent deeds.
While the year following the pandemic will undoubtedly bring its share of challenges, I firmly believe that it also presents us with numerous opportunities. The restaurant and food industry has always thrived on the ingenuity and adaptability of its participants. By maintaining a positive mindset and embracing the possibilities that lie ahead, we can collectively navigate these uncharted waters and flourish.
As we express our gratitude to past Chairman Ryan Tanaka for his remarkable contributions, let us now eagerly anticipate an exciting year of growth, camaraderie, and seizing the opportunities that await us. Together, we will continue to propel the Hawaii Restaurant Association toward a prosperous future.
