More than 80 restaurants and eateries in Lahaina were destroyed by the wildfire devastation last month in August, including those owned by Hawai’i Restaurant Association Members. This premier support program for female entrepreneurs in the hospitality industry provides advanced business skills over the course of a 10-week period. Alumnae who have gone through this program have successfully raised funding for their businesses, gained experience and skills to articulate goals and create long-term business plans, grew employee wages, added new benefits for their team and more. According to a survey of past participants:

• 50% pursued new funding after completing the program and 79% reported success in raising funding for their businesses, collectively raising a total of $12.1 million
• 65% gained experience and skills to articulate goals and values and 60% created long-term business plans 
• 86% grew employee wages and 70% added new benefits including healthcare and training
