HCC and West Central HealthTran Partner to Reduce Transportation Barriers to Care for Underserved

The Health Care Collaborative (HCC) of Rural Missouri received a MoDot 5310 grant from the Missouri Department of Transportation in 2016, continued through 2017, to improve health outcomes by reducing transportation barriers.

In conjunction with the West Central HealthTran, a non-governmental transportation assistance program, services are designated for individuals unable to access transportation through other channels.

Implementation for this program has just begun with additional information forthcoming. HCC's Bob Vickers has been hired as the transportation coordinator and will be working with local transportation contractors.
