Welcome to the New School Year and to the HS^2 Newsletter!

Welcome back to school, and welcome to the official High School of Health Sciences Newsletter! This new newsletter will cover everything HS^2-related, from schedules and academics to exciting news and updates. As the school year progresses, we’ll cover intriguing events and stories from around our school to help everyone stay informed and have a great school year!

Director's Message

We are excited to start an HS^2 Newsletter to increase communication and engagement this year. Along the lines of increasing communication, we are holding parent - advisor - student conferences right away in September. Our hope is for all parents/guardians to sign up for a conference in order to start the year strong and establish a line of communication with your student's advisor. Keep a lookout for an email from your student's advisor next week with an opportunity to sign up for a conference the afternoon/evening of September 20th or 28th.

Meet The New HS^2 Teachers!

Mr. John Lui

What school are you coming from? I am returning to the High School after teaching at KM Middle School for the past 11 years.

What courses are you teaching? AP Biology, Biology, Environmental Science, and Forensic Science

An interesting fact about you? I have met Princess Diana and I drive a Toyota Prius.

What are you looking forward to while at HS^2?To share my passion for science with my students!

Ms. Emily Glazewski

What school are you coming from? This is my 4th year teaching at KMHS.

What courses are you teaching? Spanish (levels 2-4) and Spanish Cultures

An interesting fact about you? I have traveled to many Spanish speaking countries.

What are you looking forward to while at HS^2? I'm looking forward to teaching classes in HS^2 because it gives me the flexibility to run new courses like my Spanish Music, Art, and Film course!
