Cross Country Team Excels at WPIALS

Three CVHS Cross Country runners advanced to the PIAA meet thanks to an outstanding performance at WPIALS. Congratulations to Eva Kubalgo, Santo Riccardi, and Lilah Turnbull. They'll compete at the PIAA competition on November 5.

Thursday at Cal U featured an excellent performance by the entire team, with the boys placing 7th and the girls taking 6th place.

Parent-Teacher Conferences - October 31, 2022

Conferences will be held at CVHS on October 31st. Parents are encouraged to reach out to teachers directly through email to request an appointment.

Wrestling

Anyone in grades 7-12 interested in wrestling this season can sign up here.

Tutoring Program

Any student interested in the tutoring program at the Primary School should see Mrs. Thomas in room H2808 for an application or if you would like more information. Applications are due to Mrs. Thomas by October 27th and training for the program will be on November 8th at the Primary School. Students will receive volunteer hours and a certificate of completion.

"Puffs" Tickets On Sale

Tickets for the Fall Show “Puffs” are now on sale. “Puffs” is a play about the boy wizard who lived and seven years in a certain school of magic and magic from the perspective of the Puffs. “Reserved Seating” tickets are available for $15.00 per ticket. The dates of the performances are November 2nd – 5th at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door the night of the show or online at cvtheatre.ticketleap.com.

GSA Club Meeting

The GSA club will have a meeting Wednesday, November 2nd from 2:34 - 4:00 in room H2709. New members are always welcome!

Trip to Great Britain

Want to visit England and Scotland? Anyone interested in a trip to Great Britain in June of 2024, please see Mr. Peters in Room 4420 for details.

Senior Pictures

Senior pictures for the yearbook are due Friday, December 2nd. Please check your

school email or class Schoology page for the link to submit your picture. If you have any questions or problems, please reach out to Mrs. Koons in room D2424.

Free Breakfast Continues for the 2022-2023 School Year

All CV students can get free breakfast each school day. The free breakfast program will remain for the 2022-2023 school year, regardless of a family's need. Lunches will continue to be paid.

Cultural Calendar

Halloween is commonly celebrated on October 31st. European immigrants to the United States in the 19th century brought Halloween costumes with them and helped popularize the holiday. By the 20th century, Halloween had become one of the principal holidays in the United States, especially among children.

Intramurals

Intramurals will have open pickleball nights starting in November from 7-8:30 p.m. Dates are Nov 7th and 21st and December 5th and 12th with more dates to come in January. We will be in the high school gym unless there is an athletic event and then we will be in the auxiliary gym.
