Start With Hello Week (September 21-25): This week, our school will be participating in Sandy Hook Promise’s “Start With Hello” Week. Each day there will be activities designed to enable students to make a difference with their peers in a simple, fun, and impactful way by encouraging them to take small but powerful actions to promote connectedness and inclusion and to identify and help others who are showing signs of social isolation. Tuesday and Wednesday of this week have been designated as WEAR GREEN DAYS. Please wear something green to school on those days to help promote the Start With Hello mission.
Homecoming: As you are aware, the governor's July 15, 2020 order restricts social gathering sizes to 25 people for indoor events and 250 people for outdoor events. Unfortunately, due to these restrictions, Homecoming activities that were originally scheduled for the end of September will be cancelled. While we are disappointed to have to cancel our traditional Homecoming festivities, we are working with the CVHS Student Council to put together an event later this year to replace our Homecoming Dance, which will include having a Homecoming Court. More information to come!
PSAT/NMSTQ Administration: CVHS will be administering the PSAT-NMSQT on Thursday, October 29. All juniors will be registered for the exam automatically and free of charge. Sophomores may voluntarily register for the exam by completing the registration form and submitting the $16 registration fee. Please click on this link for more PSAT details: 2020 PSAT Information Letter. Sophomores who would like to take the PSAT should click here to register: Sophomore Registration Form (Juniors DO NOT need to complete the registration form.)
Free Meals for All Students: Chartiers Valley School District is now offering FREE breakfast and FREE lunch to every student, every school day. At this time, the free meals for all students will only run until December 31, 2020, at which time meal pay statuses will return to Paid, Free, or Reduced rates based on qualifications.
