Parent-Teacher Conferences - October 31, 2022
Conferences will be held at CVHS on October 31st. Parents are encouraged to reach out to teachers directly through email to request an appointment.
Chill Mobile for CVHS Student-Athletes
All this week starting today, Chartiers Valley High School fall student-athletes will be invited to engage in an assembly, lessons, and RV interactive experience with the Chill Mobile program through Allegheny Health Network.
Chill Mobile is a program that is part of the Chill Project by Allegheny Health Network which also facilitates behavioral health programming at all of the Chartiers Valley Schools. Through the use of the Chill Mobile vehicle and pushing into the school, Chill Mobile will facilitate three 1-week experiences per school year. This week is dedicated to fall student-athletes, and there will be a week in the winter and again in the spring for student-athletes who participate in winter and spring sports.
School-Safety Drills This Week
Please be advised that ALICE drills will take place at the Middle School and High School the week of October 24. During the drills, students and staff members will practice emergency safety procedures pertinent to the scenario and their respective locations in the buildings. For these drills, please be aware that we are collaborating with local first responders so that they can practice their emergency response procedures. We will send an electronic notice to parents immediately before the drills to prevent any confusion or panic.
College Visits
Waynesburg University (PA) in-person on October 24th @ 9:23 a.m.
WyoTech (WY) has signed up for a virtual visit on October 24, 2022, @ 10:08 a.m.
Florida Memorial University (FL) has signed up for a virtual visit on October
24th @ 11:38 a.m.
Juniata College (PA) has signed up for an in-person visit on October 25 @ 10:08 a.m.
Wrestling
Anyone in grades 7-12 interested in wrestling this season can sign up here.
Picture Retake Day
Picture retake day will be Tuesday, October 25th in the auditorium. Forms are available on LifeTouch’s website.
Tutoring Program
Any student interested in the tutoring program at the Primary School should see Mrs. Thomas in room H2808 for an application or if you would like more information. Applications are due to Mrs. Thomas by October 27th and training for the program will be on November 8th at the Primary School. Students will receive volunteer hours and a certificate of completion.
"Puffs" Tickets On Sale
Tickets for the Fall Show “Puffs” are now on sale. “Puffs” is a play about the boy wizard who lived and seven years in a certain school of magic and magic from the perspective of the Puffs. “Reserved Seating” tickets are available for $15.00 per ticket. The dates of the performances are November 2nd – 5th at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door the night of the show or online at cvtheatre.ticketleap.com.
GSA Club Meeting
The GSA club will have a meeting Wednesday, November 2nd from 2:34 - 4:00 in room H2709. New members are always welcome!
Trip to Great Britain
