Holiday in the Hive

The holiday season is upon us, and what better way to celebrate than by reconnecting with old friends and cherished memories? We are thrilled to announce "Holiday at the Hive," a special event taking place on Monday, December 18th, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School.

This festive event is a unique opportunity for alumni from the classes of '20, '21, '22, and '23 to return to campus, visit with faculty, and reconnect with classmates. We extend a warm invitation to all members of these graduating classes to join us for a heartwarming reunion in the spirit of the season.

The main event will be held in the Media Center, where a welcoming reception will take place. From 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, you can enjoy light refreshments while catching up with former teachers, classmates, and friends. It's the perfect chance to share your post-graduation experiences, reminisce about the good times, and make new memories.

We look forward to welcoming our most recent alumni back to BBHHS and making this holiday season a truly special one. Please share this event with your friends and families of recent grads. See you at the Hive on December 18th!

Krampus Returns to BBHHS

On Friday, December 1, BBHHS German teacher Mr. Jeff Moore once again coordinated a student and staff favorite holiday event as Saint Nicholas and Krampus visited the halls and classrooms of BBHHS to celebrate those who have been nice and to discuss some behaviors with those who maybe have been a bit naughty in recent weeks.

Mr. Moore uses this event to demonstrate traditional German holiday cultural experiences with his students and graciously includes other BBHHS students and staff in this fun activity as well. This light-hearted and fun event is a great way to bring world cultures to the building and celebrate the holiday season.

Mr. Moore is active in helping to promote the German culture and language at BBHHS and extends that passion to Northeast Ohio as well. Mr. Moore is the committee chair for the Hudson-Landsberg Sister Program that sponsors the Hudson Chirstkindlmarkt, which was recently written about on Cleveland.com. This event takes place annually on the Hudson town square and will take place this year on Friday 12/8, from 4-8 pm, Saturday, 12/9, from 12-8 pm, and December 12/10, 12-4 pm on Sunday.

BBHHS is Going to Italy!

We’re excited to announce that our Bridge to the World travel abroad program will return in the summer of 2025! A trip abroad experience will be planned in collaboration with EF Tours, our educational travel partner. If you might be interested in learning more about this great opportunity, register for the information session to be considered eligible at EF Tours Information Session. In this information session, BBHHS staff and EF representative will discuss:

  • How this opportunity will benefit your student
  • What we’ll see and do on our trip
  • Everything that’s included in this experience
  • How your child can earn academic credit
  • How we’re keeping this safe and affordable
  • How to enroll on this trip (before it fills up!) during EF’s risk-free enrollment period

When students travel, they expand their knowledge of the world, discover more about themselves, and grow more confident. These skills are critical for creating the global citizens of tomorrow, and we would love to have your student join us on this adventure.

There are limited spots on this trip, so we would love to have you attend this meeting to learn more about this exciting opportunity!
