Congratulations to the Class of 2026

On Saturday, May 23rd, Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School proudly celebrated the 143rd commencement ceremony at the historic Playhouse Square State Theatre. It was a beautiful day to honor the accomplishments of our exceptional graduating class. Surrounded by family, friends, and faculty, 305 seniors officially became alumni of BBHHS.

The ceremony featured two outstanding commencement addresses delivered by Aya Katergi and Shashini Mohan, each reflecting on the classes connections to BBHHS and the impact of community. Student Government President Simon Youssef led the traditional turning of the tassel, marking the graduates’ transition into the next chapter of their lives.

This year’s class is a dynamic and talented group, with students pursuing diverse futures across higher education, career pathways, and military service. We are proud to share that:

Over 45 different colleges and universities across 14 states will welcome BBHHS graduates this fall
61 students completed career-technical education programs at CVCC, preparing them for immediate entry into skilled professions or further training
119 earned a State of Ohio Honors Diploma
AP Scholarship Program: AP Scholars: 38 students, AP Scholar with Honors: 13 students, AP Scholar with Distinction: 46 students, and AP Capstone Diploma: 22 students
4 were National Merit SemiFinalists or Finalists, with another 12 earning the Commended level
21 BBHHS Seniors earned the Seal of Biliteracy
More than $141,500 in local scholarship dollars were awarded to deserving to members of the Class of 2026
Seven NCAA D1 and D2 Scholarship Athletes
Five CVCC seniors were selected as their program's "Most Outstanding Student"
And notably, five graduates have committed to serving in the United States Armed Forces. We extend our sincere gratitude to these students for their selfless dedication to our country:

We are pleased to share the 2026 Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School Honors Bulletin. We are so proud of our students' varied accomplishments and are honored to recognize their achievements both inside and outside of the classroom.

These selections reflect the talented and dedicated students of Brecksville-Broadview Heights and their commitment to the pursuit of academic and personal growth. Their achievements are a testament to their hard work, resilience, and the strong support of our school community. We celebrate not only their successes, but also the character and determination they demonstrate every day.

2026 Honors Bulletin

2026 Senior Award Recipients

26-27 Student Schedules Now Available

Tentative Student schedules for the 2026–2027 school year were made available for viewing in PowerSchool by both students and parents on Tuesday, May 26th.

Posted schedules reflect each student’s planned courses for the upcoming school year based on student requests and counselor meetings with students to resolve scheduling conflicts that occurred within the construction of the master schedule. The schedule will not appear, at this time, in a traditional "matrix or list" format until the end of the year roll over process is completed in mid-June.

Please note that adjustments to the master schedule may still occur over the summer due to unforeseen circumstances, resulting in student schedule adjustments. In addition, teacher assignments and room numbers will be adjusted accordingly based on staff changes once our hiring process for the year is finalized.

At this time, schedule changes will only be made for one of the following three reasons:

There is a technical error in the scheduling process.
It is clear that the student is academically misplaced.
There is a scheduling conflict.

Our school counselors have met with students to finalize any conflicts, so we expect the final schedule to be accurate and appropriate.

If you have any questions about your child’s schedule, please contact their assigned school counselor, and if you are requesting a schedule change due to one of the three reasons cited above, please have your child complete this form.

Please be aware that only the student can complete the schedule request form, as it is set to only accept responses from a bbhcsd domain.

Gold Parking Lots Closed!

To accommodate the BBHMS Annual Kick-It Event, both the Upper and Lower Gold Lots will be closed for student parking on Monday 6/1v and Tuesday, 6/2.

Students are encouraged to park in the Red and Black Lots or along the tennis court curb during these days. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as BBHMS hosts this exciting school tradition!

Last Day of School Transportation Service

Please be aware that transportation services on the last day of school will run on a modified schedule due to the early afternoon dismissal. Morning bus pick-ups will operate as regularly scheduled.

Students needing transportation home in the afternoon will be picked up at BBHHS at 1:25 p.m. — not at the regular BBHMS pick-up locations.

Buses will depart from the Main Parking Lot outside the Main Entrance doors at BBHHS. Transportation will be available for students routed to both Brecksville and Broadview Heights.

Congratulations, BBHHS Baseball!

A HUGE congratulations to our BBHHS Bees Baseball Team for capturing their first District Championship since 2009!

The Bees defeated conference rival Twinsburg on Thursday at Tri-C with a convincing 7–4 victory in seven innings. The team delivered a complete performance from start to finish, highlighted by an outstanding outing from Leo Carey, who pitched five strong innings on the mound.

Offensively, the Bees were productive throughout the lineup with timely hitting, textbook baseball, sacrifice flies, and well-executed bunts that helped power the team to victory.

The Bees now advance to the Regional Tournament next Wednesday at Oberlin College. Congratulations to the players and coaching staff on this incredible accomplishment, and best of luck in the next round!

Parking Pass Sales for 26-27 Begin This School Year

The PSO sale of personalized parking spaces for seniors will take place on Tuesday, June 2nd at 2:00 p.m. and Wednesday, June 3rd at 2:00 p.m. These personalized spaces will be sold by the PSO and cost $25.

During the sale, PSO volunteers will handle the payment process (only cash or check made payable to BBHHS PSO), collect the student’s personalized space design, confirm the parking space application is complete, confirm the students selected parking space (first-come, first-served), and complete the necessary paperwork to confirm the purchase of a space for 26-27

In order to be eligible to purchase a personalized parking space, all school fees must be paid, and the student parking application must be completed in advance. The parking application and space design requirements for 26-27 will be shared with the Class of '26 and their parents the week of May 11th.

After July 1, BBHHS staff will add the $60 parking pass fee to each student’s account who purchased a personalized space. Families will then be able to complete payment for the parking pass at that time.

General parking pass sales for the 26-27 school year, for juniors and sophomores (who are not eligible to purchase personalized spaces) will begin on August 4. To obtain a parking pass, students must complete the parking pass application and ensure that all school fees are paid. Those students will receive the parking application this July

Please plan ahead to meet these requirements if your student wishes to secure a parking pass or personalized space for the upcoming school year.

PSO Parking Space Design Guidelines & Design Submission

We’re excited to announce that the Colony Cupboard is now fulfilling requests for school supplies for the 2026-2027 school year! If you or someone you know is in need of essential items to support academic success, we’re here to help—quickly and confidently. Through generous community donations, the Colony Cupboard provides these supplies at no cost to the recipients. Whether it’s notebooks, pens, folders, or other classroom essentials, the Colony Cupboard is committed to ensuring every student has what they need to thrive.

Students can now request school supplies by simply completing the Google Request Form.

Supplies will be prepared and made available for pickup beginning the week of August 10, 2026. Please check your BBHCSD email for additional pick-up information.

Summer Summer Reaading and Extension Assignments

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we want to remind you that several of our courses, particularly within the English Language Arts Department, require summer reading and extension work to be completed over the summer. This work is assigned to keep students academically engaged, limit skill erosion, and, most importantly, prevent students from being overwhelmed with large-scale assignments in the first few days of the school year.

Students are expected to have these assignments completed or very near completion within the opening days of the school year. We strongly encourage you to motivate your child to get a head start on their summer assignments to ensure a smooth transition into the new school year.

Final Exam Schedule

As we approach the end of the school year, please review the final exam schedule for the upcoming days and class periods.

If a student is absent for a scheduled exam, it is their responsibility to arrange a make-up time with the teacher. While planned absences during finals are strongly discouraged, if unavoidable, students must coordinate with their teacher in advance to schedule an alternate exam time and complete an excused absence form with their assigned principal.

Please note that students may not reschedule exams for convenience. Following the scheduled exam times ensures a fair and smooth process for all students.
