School Arrival

We have noticed an improvement in morning arrival times as students and families have adjusted to the new traffic flow patterns.  We have not been holding students accountable these first two weeks for arriving to school late due to the adjustment in traffic volume.  However, we will begin marking students tardy who arrive after the 7:45 a.m. first period bell.  Please encourage your child to make sure they arrive to school on time each day.  We appreciate your support!

National Merit Semifinalists

Congratulations to Josh Ackerman, Jill Butler, Frank Gallo, Vikram Iyer, and Zach Zywiec for being recognized as National Merit Semifinalists! They earned this designation by taking the 2021 NMSQT, which is used as the initial screener for the Semifinalist program. The nationwide pool of Semifinalists, representing less than one percent of United States high school seniors, includes the highest-scoring entrants in each state. Congratulations to our BBHHS Seniors for earning this incredible recognition!

Spirit Week, Homecoming Parade, and Bonfire

Spirit week will begin on Monday, September 19th, and last through Friday, September 23rd. Listed below are the daily themes for the 2022 HoCo Spirt Week. We are excited to see the students and their daily participation. The week will culminate with our Homecoming pep rally held during Colony Period on Friday, September 23rd.

On Thursday, September 22nd, the community favorite Homecoming Parade and Bonfire will take place from 7:00-9:00 pm. The parade will depart promptly from the Brecksville Municipal Lot and conclude at Old Stadium for the lighting of the bonfire. We invite families and students who do not parade participants to join us as we line the streets of Brecksville Road, Rt 82, and Stadium Dr. to watch the parade and cheer on our Marching Bees, Fall Athletes, and Homecoming Court. For those participating in the parade, information has been shared with the coach or advisors about reporting times and locations this week.

Picture Day

Picture day is quickly approaching! Lifetouch will be in the Auxiliary Gym on Tuesday, September 20th, for school pictures. It is requested that all students get a picture taken to appear in the yearbook for our student information system and to generate student IDs. The administration asks that students not wear hats and remove masks for their ID pictures. Students may order pictures through the picture order form they receive in their homeroom, or they can order prints through Lifetouch online at Mylifetouch.com by using the Picture Day ID: EVTNFQKZBA proof will be sent to you and your student, and you will then have the opportunity to choose your photos.

Seniors will have the opportunity to take their Prestige senior photos on Tuesday, September 20th. Students are encouraged to wear semi-formal attire for a Senior portrait session. These photos are “pay after proof” photos. There is no need to pay ahead of time.  If you choose not to take photos here at BBHHS, you must go to the Prestige studio in Westlake for your photos if wishing to have your portrait appear in the yearbook.
