Completed School Safety Drill
Please be aware that we completed one of our three required school Evacuation/Lockdown Drills for the 2021-2022 school year. BBHHS staff reviewed with students our protocols and practices in the event of a school act of violence occurring. The drill was conducted with assistance from the Broadview Heights Police Department who helped coordinate a review of both student and staff reaction. If wishing to further discuss how to respond in an emergency situation with your child we utilize ALICE procedures within our building to manage a lockdown and or evacuation situation. You can learn more about the ALICE system here.

Attendance Reminders
When needing to call your child off from school we remind you to please contact Mrs. Jane Mutch before 8:00 am in our Attendance Office. Mrs. Mutch can be reached at:

Attendance Line: Last Names A-K 440-740-4705
Attendance Line: Last Names L-Z 440-740-4715

If needing to call your child out during the middle of the day please once again notify Mrs. Mutch of their need to leave for appointment. If your child is needing to leave school due to illness we respectfully request that they stop in the BBHHS Clinic to receive their pass to leave for the day. This helps us to best account for students whereabouts when they are scheduled to be on campus. Students who leave the building without checking out before departure are subject to potential school discipline. Please make sure you contact our Attendance Line when needed. We greatly appreciate your assistance in helping provide the safest possible system for your child.

School Parking Enforcement
This year we have included a parking fine system at BBHHS for those students who are driving to school without a completed parking application/pass and those students who are parking in authorized areas (BBHHS Staff Lot, BBHMS Staff Lot, and Senior/Honors Lots). Students will be issued a warning on their first offense and then a parking ticket for $10 that will be applied to their school fee account for the first five occurrences. On their fifth occurrence they will also be issued a Saturday School for insubordination. Please remind your child that they need to secure a parking pass and are to be parking in their authorized area.

Reset and Restart
As our school community continues to deal with new positive cases of COVID-19 among our students and staff, the District is compelled to be prepared to safely deal with individuals or classes who have become exposed. At the present time, the BBHCSD has two paths to follow upon learning that a positive case has surfaced in one of our school buildings, and how we handle incidents of exposure.

The District encourages you to review this Spread Mitigation protocol, which has been posted on the COVID-19 Resources Page of our website, so that you can see the difference between the two decision-making pathways the BBHCSD leadership will follow to keep our students and staff safe in the event of positive cases in any of our buildings.

Our primary objective remains to keep students and staff learning in-person. However, the stark realities of trying to do so, recognizing that positive cases are intermittently emerging, require District leaders to be prepared to keep students learning as safely as possible. We ask for your continued patience and flexibility.

Earlier this week Mrs. Magyar shared our Reset and Restart guidance for Covid-19 protocols. Wearing masks will be strongly recommended for the 2021-2022 School Year for all students and staff. Masks will be required, however, when utilizing buses and District transportation. The BBHCSD has outlined a number of important protocols and procedures and posted them on our website in a document entitled 2021-2022 School Year Reset and Restart Guiding Practices. Please take a moment to review this document before the first day of school. Additionally, the District will continue monitoring COVID-19 cases and will follow the quarantine guidance from the Ohio Department of Health. You can read more about the quarantine decision-making flow chart by clicking here as well as an important quarantine fact sheet with this link.
