NOC SUBMISSIONS
No Initial Contact - NOC submitted after 30 days when:
- No contact has been established whatsoever with the unaccompanied minor within 30 days of referral acceptance.
Loss of Contact with Safety Concerns - NOC submitted immediately when:
- Contact is lost after services have already been initiated, and there are ongoing concerns for the child's physical or emotional safety.
- Initial home visit is unsuccessful, and there were concerns noted in the Release Request regarding the sponsor (for example, findings on sponsor background check or other potential safety concerns).
If initial phone contact is made and you are able to speak with the unaccompanied minor and determine there are no safety concerns, and then the initial visit is unsuccessful, no NOC is needed. Inform your CSS, and the case will be closed after 30 days.
