Dear AYA High School Families,
We are excited to offer an after school theater class, which will count as one-half a fine arts credit for students who complete all grade and attendance requirements.
"The Art of Acting" will introduce the acting fundamentals of character building and scene study. Students will learn how to identify character in a scene and take ownership of it with our own unique voice and body. Join us 4:30 pm Wednesdays, Aug 30-Dec 6 (no class Oct 4, Nov 8 & 22). Class will culminate with a parent showcase!
There is a $295 charge per student since we are bringing in a teacher from the Jewish Community Center of Dallas. Course sign ups will be August 23-29.
If well received, we may be able to bring a second class in the spring so that students can earn the remaining half of a fine arts credit.
