Congratulations to each of our students who participated in the CONSEF Science Fair April 7th in Cleveland, Ohio for their significant accomplishment. The results could not have been any more impressive. With the effort of our amazing science and math team (Ms. Sam, Ms. Hinckley, Mr. Ak, Mr. Bilal and Mrs. Peterson) students walked away with a number of accolades and awards . The judges were very impressed with all of the research projects and stem expo demonstrations. Below are the results:

Gold: Asantewa, Nickolas, Fatima, and Elysa
Silver: Amina, Kwabena, Rodney, and Stephen
Bronze: Yahya and Hussein
Honorable Mention: Georgette, Christopher, and Anwar
Congrats to all our students for their hard work!!!

CYSP Updates

With less than 5 weeks to go, CYSP has proven to be a success this year. We are so proud of our students for actively becoming more informed citizens with character through this program. We encourage students to log in daily to make sure they are meeting or exceeding their goals.

From beautifying their school and visiting museums to implementing characteristics like empathy and tolerance we know these skills will stick with out students for years to come, but we are not finished yet...

Take a look at what we have planned for April!

1- April 14, 9-12 Core lessons and 12-2:30 fun activity
2- April 21  Cultural Activity
3- April 27-29 Spring Camp

Keep up the good work!

Concept Art Show

As Sydney Gurewitz Clemens once said " Art has the role in education of helping children become like themselves instead of like everyone else." At HSA Columbus Middle we have a diverse group of students with many different talents. We are so proud to recognize our students as they hone in on their skills and share them to represent our school.

This past week on April 7th, 2018 a few of our students who submitted their art to the Concept Art show, received high marks for their drawing. Kofi who submitted a self portrait (above) received "Best in Show" of all of the Concept Network Schools that entered. Sabrina, who's artwork is not shown above, received "Judges Pick". They did an excellent job and we hope that they continue to work on their skills for future advancement.

Special thanks to Mrs. Betsko for always encouraging her students to do their best!

  Concept SIS:Student & Parent Portal!!

As you know Concept Schools launched a new app on IOS and Android in August. The app gives parents easy access to their student grades as well as important school news. If you have not downloaded the app you can download it at any time by searching "Conceptsis" in the appropriate app.
