Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC)
All high schools and colleges have to be WASC accredited for a student's diploma to be valid. WASC is typically a six-year cycle between full self-study visits, with mid-year visits and progress reports along the way. Leigh's admin and WASC Coordinator (Ms. Pantoja) have been working on the WASC progress report that is due on March 14. The entire staff will review the report during the March 13 collaboration day for final edits.
Leigh has a one-day virtual check-in meeting for WASC on April 25. The full self-study visit is scheduled for 2025-2026.
Leigh is currently a WASC-accredited school. Learn more about WASC and view reports from prior years.

Staff Professional Development on Minimum Day
Staff explored affective language for classroom behavior, distinguishing between permissive, neglectful, punitive, and restorative approaches. Through rotating stations, they practiced responding to scenarios with affective language, recording their strategies
Valentine's Day at Leigh
Students found valentines hidden around campus, earning candy at lunch, while staff received treat bags, all thanks to our ASB and Home and School Club's efforts to make the day special!
Storm Damage Update
Last month's storm led to the removal of our iconic stadium entrance sign from 1998. A new sign is on the way, though installation may face delays due to frame damage.
