Dear Parents and Guardians of Holy Spirit,

November is the month to reflect on the many blessings that God has bestowed upon us. I want to take this time to personally express my gratitude for your kindness and generosity throughout the year. Thank you for entrusting us with your children's academic and spiritual journeys. Because of your support, we continue to grow as we prepare our students for a bright future.

As you celebrate Thanksgiving with your families, I hope you enjoy your time together and reflect on the incredible blessings in your lives. I pray that God continues to bless each of you with good health, peace, and a heart full of gratitude and love.

We pray you and your family have a restful Thanksgiving break. We look forward to hosting our Thanksgiving Luncheon on Friday, November 17, 2023. Remember, we will be serving at three different lunch times. Your lunchtime is based on your child's last name:

A-G: 10:45 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

H-P: 11:40 a.m. - 12:25 p.m.

Q-Z: 12:35 p.m. - 1:20 p.m.

It is important that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled start time.
Check-in at the gym lobby.
If you ordered from Luby's, you will receive your lunch tickets at check-in.
If you are providing your own lunch, you will receive an entry ticket at check-in.
You will pick up your children in the gym.
We ask that you take your Thanksgiving photo memory before leaving the gym.
Staff will direct you to the luncheon.
We ask that you exit in a timely fashion when notified so we can clean tables for the next lunch period.
You may check out your students early in the lobby of the Banquet room with Mrs. Garcia or Mrs. Garza. There will be no penalty for early dismissal.
The book fair will be open until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023.
ASC is available until 6:00 p.m.

We have noticed that several students are in need of a haircut before they return from break. This is a friendly reminder that no "fade haircuts" are allowed; this includes defined parts, spiked hair, asymmetric styles, and extreme length variations. Hairstyles should be blended and conservative. In addition, we have noticed that the length of jumpers, skirts, and pants have become too short. Please take this week off to lengthen uniforms accordingly.

There will be no Notes Home next Wednesday due to the holiday break. Have a blessed Thanksgiving. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.

Holy Spirit Catholic School will be celebrating the traditional “Las Posadas” story on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. in the Holy Spirit Catholic Church sanctuary. Practices begin right after Thanksgiving our RSVP deadline is Friday, November 17, 2023.

All PK3-5^th grade students are invited to participate and join in the celebration.
Deadline to RSVP is Friday, November 17, 2023.
Students participating should meet in the foyer of the church by 6:00 p.m.
Dress: "Christmas Best" (no jeans)
PK3-PK4 teachers are communicating directly with parents regarding children's costumes.

TUITION RAFFLE EXTENDED!!!!

We understand that with the holiday season upon us that families are financially strapped. Therefore, the Tuition Raffle drawing has been postponed until Fine Arts Night later this spring.

This will allow everyone the opportunity to purchase a ticket if they wish to do so. If we do not sell out by the end of January, we will begin to open it up to new families who enroll for the 2024-2025 school year. So don't delay and purchase your lucky ticket.

The winner will receive a $6,800 tuition credit that will be applied for the ‘24-’25 school year.

Thank you to the Zamora family for signing up for the Traveling Chalice Program.

The Traveling Chalice will be consecrated during mass and will be presented to the next family. The receiving family must notify Mrs. Abinsay, Campus Minister, of their attendance prior to the start of mass. We hope that those who bring the cup home will continue to pray daily for vocations.

CYO Basketball

The registration period for Holy Spirit CYO Basketball is open now through November 24, 2023.

The registration is as follows:

New Player: Is someone that did not play in the 2023 CYO Fall (soccer, volleyball, flag football) season. Their registration will include a jersey, If this is your player select "Non" in the Membership selection.

2023 Fall Player: Is a player that has a jersey from the 2023 FALL CYO season, if this is your player hit continue once the "membership" box comes up.

Tot/Tiny: New Player $120; 2023 Fall Player $80

PW/Mite/Cub: New Player $140; 2023 Fall Player $100

ALL 2022 Season RETURNING Basketball PLAYERS HAVE UNTIL November 6, 2023 TO REGISTER TO BE GUARANTEED SPOT ON THIER 2022 SEASON TEAM. If you have previously logged into the Sports Pilot program and set up a user name and password, you will be able to log in as normal and register.
