Trojan News
In an awesome display of diverse student talent, HSWCH's Got Talent competition included 13 entries of individuals and duos with performances including singing, dancing, magic, and more. Thank you to the HSWCHS Beta Club for organizing; the many talented students brave enough to participate; an engaging student audience; and all #HSSD staff members, volunteers, and judges for assistance! See full story.
At the HSSD, we have four outstanding EAST Programs at the HSWCHS, HSJA, HSIS, and Gardner STEM. All groups presented at the 2019 EAST Conference at the Hot Springs Convention Center. Their amazing work has made the HSSD extremely proud. During the Conference Gala, our HSWCHS team was awarded the prestigious Project Sophistication and Innovation Award, and an individual award via Miles Hermann in the ARCHICAD Competition. Learn more about the various excellent projects presented by all HSSD EAST Programs, here.
M arch 15 - April 12, 2019

Over the next four weeks, HSSD student groups and organizations have been challenged to complete a community service project and document how it makes an impact in our wonderful community. As a culminating activity, HSSD schools are organizing volunteers to host park cleanups on Global Youth Service Day - which is Saturday, April 12.  Please get with your teachers, and club/program sponsors and leaders to find out how you can contribute!
This week’s shoutout goes to the amazingly talented students at our HSSD, and the brave way that our student groups put themselves out there in public forums, competitions, and performances. We’ve had a series of memorable events that have taken weeks (and in some cases- years) of preparation, discipline, creativity, integrity, community collaboration, and I’ll say it again - amazing talent. I also want to share an anonymous shoutout to Mrs. Hatcher at our HSJA. See more, here.
